Why brown sugar is important for cookies
Why only white sugar should not be used for chocolate chip/ gingerbread cookies

The PERFECT chocolate chip cookie
What is a perfect chocolate chip cookie?
A perfect chocolate chip cookie is one that is crunchy on the outside, gooey, fudgy, soft, and chewy on the inside. Ever wondered how it is like that? Well, a recipe is required. A GOOD recipe. Check out mine by clicking the small button below which says "Chocolate chip cookie!"
Why brown sugar is important
Brown and white sugar
Brown sugar contains molasses, a sticky and chewy substance. Whenever brown sugar is added to a dessert, it makes the dessert nice and chewy, the perfect inner texture of a chocolate chip cookie. White sugar, just by itself, cannot do that. We add a mixture of brown and white sugar into our cookies as white sugar makes the cookie crunchy, and allows it to spread, which is the perfect texture of the outside of a chocolate chip cookie. When both the sugars are added into a chocolate chip cookie, they combine to give the PERFECT one!
